2024年全球华侨华人促进中国和平统一大会8月20日在香港举办。大会由中国和平统一促进会香港总会主办，主题为“坚定不移推进中国和平统一，致力实现中华民族伟大复兴”。会议通过《香港宣言·2024》，会后港澳台及海外嘉宾围绕“主动融入国家发展大局，积极促进两岸融合发展”、“发挥青年力量，推动祖国统一”、“如何在新时代更好传承发展中华传统文化”主题，举办了分论坛。新西兰中国和平统一促进会应邀出席本次大会。
《香港宣言．2024》
香江之畔，潮起潮落；狮子山下，同舟共济。在中华人民共和国即将迎来75周年华诞之际，来自全世界的1200余名中华儿女齐聚香港，隆重召开全球华侨华人促进中国和平统一大会，围绕“坚定不移推进中国和平统一，致力实现中华民族伟大复兴”主题，共商大计、共襄盛举，共同奏响反“独”促统的黄钟大吕。大会一致通过并发表宣言如下：
两岸同胞血脉相连，任何力量都切割不断。神州大地，泱泱中华，台湾同胞始终是我们血脉相连的骨肉兄弟，是打断骨头连着筋的一家人。“台独”分裂势力炮制“台独史观”、推行“去中国化”，改变不了台湾同胞流淌在血液里的中华民族基因，改变不了台湾同胞镌刻在骨子里的中华文化烙印。我们郑重呼吁：广大台湾同胞要坚定中华文化自信，自觉做中华文化的守护者、传承者、弘扬者，增强中华民族的归属感、认同感、荣誉感，增强做中国人的志气、骨气、底气，铸牢中华民族共同体意识。
两岸同胞坚定反“独”，任何力量都动摇不了。虽然两岸尚未统一，但中国的主权和领土完整从未分割，台湾是中国领土一部分的地位从未改变。自赖清德上台后，就赤裸裸地宣扬“两国论”，将“台独”公开化，不断煽动两岸对立对抗，企图“以武谋独”“倚外谋独”，部分西方国家变本加厉推行“以台制华”，这只会将台湾推向兵凶战危的险境，给广大台湾同胞带来深重灾祸。我们严正警告：“台独”分裂势力，挡不住家国团圆的历史大势，“挟洋谋独”是死路一条；外部干涉势力，阻挡不了中国统一的滚滚车轮，“以台制华”注定失败。
两岸同胞交流融合，任何力量都压制不住。要和平、要发展、要交流、要合作，是台湾社会的主流民意，是两岸同胞的共同心声。两岸关系和平发展是造福两岸同胞的正确道路，深化两岸融合发展符合两岸同胞共同利益，两岸同胞没有理由不走得更亲更近。我们热切期盼：广大台湾同胞多到祖国大陆走一走、看一看，积极参与并推动两岸各领域的交流合作，共享发展机遇、共增利益福祉，共同实现对美好生活的向往，共同营造安宁富足的家园。
两岸同胞携手圆梦，任何力量都阻挡不了。民族强盛是同胞之福，民族弱乱是同胞之祸。近代以来，中华民族饱受列强欺凌，包括台湾同胞在内的全体中华儿女对百年屈辱刻骨铭心，对民族复兴无比渴望。我们始终坚信：台湾问题因民族弱乱而产生，必将随着民族复兴而解决。台湾同胞素来崇敬祖先、爱土爱乡、勤劳勇敢，在民族复兴的伟大进程中，台湾同胞定然不会缺席。面向未来，两岸同胞要携手同心、守望相助，共担民族复兴责任，共享民族复兴荣光。
山山相依才有昆仑的巍峨，水水相连方见东海的浩瀚。我们是相亲相爱的一家人，是休戚与共的命运共同体。我们深知，前进道路不会一帆风顺，伟大目标不会一蹴而就，但只要全体中华儿女团结一心，就没有什么能够阻挡我们实现国家统一的前进步伐。我们再次号召：全体中华儿女团结起来，共担民族大义，坚定反“独”促统，携手共创国家统一和民族复兴的美好未来！
Hong Kong Declaration 2024
On the banks of the Xiangjiang River, the tides rise and fall; under the Lion Rock, we are in the same boat. As the People’s Republic of China is about to usher in the 75th anniversary of its founding, more than 1,200 Chinese people from all over the world gathered in Hong Kong to solemnly hold the Global Overseas Chinese Conference to Promote China’s Peaceful Reunification. Focusing on the theme of “unswervingly promoting China’s peaceful reunification and striving to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation”, they discussed major plans and joined forces to jointly play the great bell of opposing “independence” and promoting reunification. The conference unanimously adopted and issued the following declaration:
The compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are connected by blood, and no force can cut them off. In the vast land of China, the Taiwan compatriots have always been our blood brothers, and we are a family that is connected even if our bones are broken. The “Taiwan independence” separatist forces have concocted a “Taiwan independence historical view” and promoted “de-Sinicization”, which cannot change the Chinese national gene flowing in the blood of the Taiwan compatriots, nor can they change the Chinese cultural imprint engraved in the bones of the Taiwan compatriots. We solemnly call on: the vast number of Taiwan compatriots to strengthen their confidence in Chinese culture, consciously become the guardians, inheritors, and promoters of Chinese culture, enhance the sense of belonging, identity, and honor of the Chinese nation, enhance the ambition, backbone, and confidence of being Chinese, and forge a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation.
The compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are firmly against “independence”, and no force can shake them. Although the two sides of the Taiwan Strait have not yet been unified, China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity have never been divided, and Taiwan’s status as a part of China’s territory has never changed. Since Lai Ching-te came to power, he has blatantly promoted the “two-state theory”, made “Taiwan independence” public, and constantly incited cross-strait confrontation, attempting to “seek independence by force” and “seek independence by relying on foreign forces”. Some Western countries have intensified the promotion of “using Taiwan to control China”, which will only push Taiwan into a dangerous situation of war and bring serious disasters to the vast number of Taiwan compatriots. We solemnly warn that the separatist forces of “Taiwan independence” cannot stop the historical trend of family reunification, and “using foreign forces to seek independence” is a dead end; external interference forces cannot stop the rolling wheel of China’s reunification, and “using Taiwan to control China” is doomed to fail.
No force can suppress the exchanges and integration between compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Peace, development, exchanges and cooperation are the mainstream public opinion in Taiwan society and the common voice of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The peaceful development of cross-strait relations is the right path to benefit compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Deepening cross-strait integration and development is in the common interests of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. There is no reason for compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait not to get closer. We earnestly hope that the majority of Taiwan compatriots will visit the mainland of the motherland, take a look, actively participate in and promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields across the Taiwan Strait, share development opportunities, increase benefits and well-being, jointly realize the yearning for a better life, and jointly create a peaceful and prosperous home.
Compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits work together to realize their dreams, and no force can stop them. A strong nation is a blessing for compatriots, while a weak and chaotic nation is a disaster for compatriots. Since modern times, the Chinese nation has suffered from bullying by the great powers. All Chinese people, including our compatriots in Taiwan, have a deep memory of the century-long humiliation and are extremely eager for national rejuvenation. We always firmly believe that the Taiwan issue arose because of the nation’s weakness and chaos, and will be resolved with the national rejuvenation. Taiwan compatriots have always respected their ancestors, loved their land and hometown, and were hardworking and brave. In the great process of national rejuvenation, Taiwan compatriots will certainly not be absent. Looking to the future, compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits must work together, help each other, share the responsibility of national rejuvenation, and share the glory of national rejuvenation.
Only when mountains are close together can the Kunlun Mountains be as majestic as they are, and only when waters are connected can the East China Sea be seen as vast as it is. We are a loving family, and a community with a shared future. We are well aware that the road ahead will not be smooth, and the great goal will not be achieved overnight, but as long as all Chinese people are united, nothing can stop us from moving forward to achieve national reunification. We once again call on all Chinese people to unite, share the national cause, firmly oppose “independence” and promote reunification, and work together to create a bright future for national reunification and national rejuvenation!
